People rarely join a Lions Club because they were looking for an association. They join because they want to meet people who share the same values, take part in worthwhile projects and give some of their time to activities that genuinely make a difference.

Every club is unique. Each has its own history, personality, traditions and projects. Some organise activities for young people, others support people facing hardship, contribute to health-related projects, protect the environment or respond to very practical needs in their local community. What they all share is the same desire: to serve their community with generosity and a friendly spirit.

Joining a club is not just about taking part in service activities. It is also about becoming part of a group of women and men who enjoy getting together, exchanging ideas, sharing experiences and working together on meaningful projects. Over time, many of these relationships grow into genuine friendships.

Every Lion was a newcomer once. You do not need any previous volunteering experience. All you need is the desire to get involved, give some of your time and put your talents at the service of others. Everyone contributes what they can, at their own pace and according to their availability.
