The donations received by the Belgian Lions are used entirely for charitable causes.

Operating expenses are covered through personal contributions made by Lions members.

Lions have been active in Belgium since 1952 and have contributed approximately €160 million to local community and social projects. Each year, they distribute more than €5 million to support initiatives at the local level.

They are also involved in major international Lions initiatives, such as the fight against measles, relief efforts following the Sri Lanka tsunami, assistance after the earthquake in Haiti, support for victims of the cyclone in Mozambique, and many other humanitarian actions around the world.
