Who are the Lions ?
More than 100 years community service
Lions International (LI) is the largest service club organization in the world and one of the largest international NGOs. Its network includes nearly 1.5 million members in 46,000 clubs across 210 countries and geographic areas.
Lions International is involved in a wide range of social and humanitarian activities.
Our future projects, as well as those of our clubs, will focus on helping people—particularly disadvantaged children—combating poverty, and protecting the environment.
Our goal is to help 200 million people around the world every year.
In addition to providing social assistance, we respond to natural disasters whenever our frontline support can be of help. Subsequently, we remain committed to helping affected communities rebuild their lives with dignity by supporting the construction of clinics, schools, and, in some cases, housing.
We carry out these initiatives through our local clubs to ensure that our funds reach their intended beneficiaries. As a result, we provide nearly €900 million annually in aid and donations.

Lions code
To strive to deserve a good reputation in all my activities, whether professional or personal.
To seek success, but only through honorable and honest means.
To remember that in order to succeed, it is not necessary to harm others or prejudice their interests.
Whenever the fairness of my attitudes or actions is called into question, to accept removing any doubt, even at the expense of my own interests.
To regard friendship as an end in itself and not as a means to an end.
To keep constantly in mind my obligations to the community to which I belong and to devote to it, selflessly, the greatest possible share of my material, intellectual, and moral resources.
To come, under all circumstances, to the aid of those who are in distress.
To criticize with moderation and to encourage with generosity; to build and not to destroy.
