National work

The aim of the National Work Award is to reward and put into the spotlight Belgian clubs that are exceptionally meritorious in social or cultural terms.
The National Work Award was established in 1961 to honour clubs for their exemplary social achievements during the national convention.
In 1986, the award was extended to cultural activities.

Two members per district are appointed by the incoming governor. The mandates are 3 years and can be extended once by 3 years.
All members are bilingual and are appointed before the end of April. The chairman is elected and appointed by the governor’s council.
The committee is under the supervision of the Governor’s Council.
